I'm a 21 year old female student trying to pay for college. I'm not yet legally considered an independent, so my federal aid is based on my parent's income, not mine. However, my parent are in a great amount of debt and are unable to help me. I had to leave the school of my dreams last year due to this reason. I want to go to a good college, a college that will challenge me and stimulate my mind. The school I was attending this year was significantly cheaper, but not olny am I having trouble paying for this school also, nobody wants to be there. A large percentage of students attend this university just to get a degree, not to learn-and the professors are not much better. I just want to be able to afford to attend a school with students like me, students that aren't in college just to get a degree, but to actually learn.
